In light of the recent coronavirus headlines, measures to prevent the spread of infection are essential.
Many of our consumers are concerned about both their families health and the safety of their pets. Effective disinfection is vital, but this must be non-toxic and suitable for contact with those who share our homes.
The Coronavirus family includes the common cold, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and the novel Covid-19 virus.
Covid-19 has now been identified in over 80 countries.
Covid-19, an enveloped coronavirus, causes respiratory symptoms in people and is transmitted between individuals by aerosol spread or by contact between hands and mucosal surfaces.
Excellent hygiene practices can prevent transmission of the virus- including effective hand washing and measures to minimise aerosol spread.
Safe4 disinfectant is compliant with EN14675 European test protocol – this is the general viral testing regime and includes both animal and human viral pathogens. It is not possible to asses a product against Covid-19 specifically as the virus is not available for general testing at this time. The PASS is given on basis of all other coronaviruses and enveloped viruses that have been assessed, including SARS.

The pre-diluted disinfectant spray and the disinfectant wipes contain a 1:10 dilution and provides contact kill.
All working dilutions of the disinfectant are safe to apply to surfaces without rinsing away. Food bowls or toys in contact with pet’s mouths should be fully rinsed after contact time of 5 minutes in a 1:50 dilution. Safe4 products should not be ingested. If food contamination is suspected, food should be discarded.
